On Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, Michael Richard Boege, beloved husband and father of six, passed away. He was 87.
Born to Helen and Raymond, Michael married the love of his life in March 1957. He and Diane were married for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Helen Boege; his wife, Diane Boege; daughter, Linda Duff; son, Paul Boege; and his brother Raymond Boege.
From his life in the Bay Area, Michael moved his family to Sonora, California, in 1976, where he ran a successful drapery business. He decorated many, many homes with his beautiful window coverings and upholstery skills. Michael and Diane relocated to Lodi, California, in the 1980s, where he continued to decorate homes and lived until he passed. He loved traveling the world and was able to visit many foreign lands in his life. He was an active member in his local church in Lodi, St. Annes, and found great comfort in his relationship with the Lord. He is in heaven with his heavenly family.
Michael is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Karyn and Kevin Malone, Dana and Tom Infalt, and Marion and Dave Bannister; his son, Matthew Boege; his sister, Mary Chamberlain; eight grandchildren, Jared, Kelsey, James, Lauren, Nicholas, Kendra, Katelyn and Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Baker, Brea, James, Connor, Noah and Olivia. His greatest legacy.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Lodi. A graveside memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Sonora.
