Lorraine Prows was born in 1929 to George And Veronica Ludy in Petaluma, California.
She graduated from St. Vincent high school, where she lettered in basketball, and later worked at Metropolitan Life in San Francisco until she married William Prows in 1953. She loved to camp and fish throughout the US., but mostly in the Siskiyou Mountains.
She was the mother of Daniel (1954), Kathleen (1956) and Christopher (1960).
Bill retired and moved from the Bay Area to Jamestown in 1984. She took care of her husband, who developed Parkinson’s disease and later Alzheimer’s, until his death in 1995. Spent her later years with Kathy and her son-in-law, James Ledin, in the Jamestown home. She passed from a stroke on Saturday, Sept. 17.
