Longtime resident of Jamestown, Beverly Joan Carroll, passed away on October 15,2022.
She was 81. She was born in San Mateo, CA on February 13, 1941.
She was survived by her spouse of 61 years, Arthur Michael “Bud” Carroll, her four children, Kelly (Bob) Lamb, Troy (Paula) Carroll, Kirk (Nancy) Carroll, Tim (Stacey) Carroll, nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father Harry Lee Gilliam, her mother Linda Maria Gilliam, and her brother Steven Lee Gilliam.
Joan was an avid quilter and long time member of the quilters guild. She took this strong affection for quilting and created a very successful quilting business, The Quilt Shop, both in Reno, NV and Jamestown, CA. She had many passions and hobbies over the years from her early days of sewing, tole painting crafts, as well as her love and enthusiasm for collecting and running her antique store. Her father was a veteran which instilled in her a great devotion to this country. She will be missed by all who had a chance to share time in her life.
